>> The new phones launched on Thursday are called the best iPhone ever made by Apple. Both the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and 5.5-inch 7 Plus come in the usual array of colors. They have a 25 per cent brighter display, with a wider color gamut for better color management and reproduction.

>> iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models starting at $649 (US).

>> This time around, the antennas are built right into the chassis, getting rid of those ugly lines from the previous two versions of the phone. The new iPhone come with more power and performance, more battery life and is the first water and dust resistant iPhone.

>> iPhone 7 plus will have dual-lens camera, 4.6-inch retina HD display, 7 MP HD front camera and 12 MP rear main camera that provide optical image stabilization, a larger aperture and 6-element lens. The two cameras together offer optical zoom at two times and up to 10 times digital zoom for photos.

>> Apple removed the 3.5mm jack. Apple also introduced new technology that replaces the earphones with Air Pods. New stereo speakers in the phone will offer sound that is two times louder than iPhone 6s.

>> All iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models will include EarPods with "Lightning Connector" and a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter, also sold separately for $149 and $299, respectively.

>> The Home button is still there on iPhone 7, but it’s not clickable. iPhone will provide touch feedback with the Taptic Engine.

In a tie-up with sports giant Nike, Apple said the Apple Watch Nike+ will be available in India and other countries late October.

>> Apple Watch Nike+ will be available at a price range of Rs 32,900- Rs 34,900 from, select Nike retail stores, select Apple Authorised Resellers and select specialty stores and department stores.
