Mitticool: Fridge for the poor

Mitticool is a refrigerator that runs without electricity. Mitticool costs around Rs 2,500. It took Mansukhbhai Prajapathi, a potter from Gujarat, four years to get the combination right, mixing and churning different types of clay in proper proportions.

His inspiration came from a tragedy that shook the entire nation: Earthquake in Gujarat in 2001.
