Munger: The GRP on Thursday rescued 11 child labourers and arrested three traffickers from a train at Jamalpur railway station in Bihar's Munger district.

Acting on a tip off, the GRP team carried out search in Bhagalpur-Surat Express and rescued 11 child labourers from a coach before arresting three child traffickers, identified as Md. Saddam Hussain, Md. Monazir and Md. Siraj, GRP Inspector B. Chattopadhyaya said.

The child traffickers were taking the boys - all below 15 years' age and natives of Bhagalpur district - to Surat to engage them in various works in violation of the provisions human trafficking and child labour acts, he said.

The rescued children have been handed over to the district authorities.
