The batch, including 1,345 men, 363 women and 20 children, left in a convoy of 61 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu at 4:10 am, the police said.
As many as 23,162 pilgrims have so far gone from Jammu to the Amarnath shrine.

The yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine from the traditional Pahalgam route began on July 2.

The first batch of Amarnath Yatra was flagged off by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Minister Ghulam Ahmad Mir. The yatra to the cave shrine will end on August 10.
