New Delhi:  Delhi Development Authority is caught in a fix as it cannot take action against the illegal occupants on its almost 1400-acre land.

Among the illegally possessed land, JJ clusters have been developed on 265.25 acre land and 39.38 acre land has been encroached in the name of religious constructions.

The trouble for DDA has compounded as the Delhi government is working on the proposal of regularizing the illegally possessed 907.88 acre land on which 240 colonies have been constructed.

With the proposal in the offing, DDA cannot demolish these illegally developed colonies.

As per the Delhi government proposal, DDA would get only an amount of Rs 450 per square meter during the regularization of these colonies.
