Islamabad: At least 15 children were killed in a school van gas cylinder blast that took place on Saturday in Pakistan's Punjab province, a media report said.

The explosion took place in Gujrat, a district in Pakistan's eastern province of Punjab, media reported.

The incident took place at about 7.40 am when the school van carrying an estimated 20 to 25 children aged between 8 and 12 was on its way to a private school.
