New Delhi: The junior Indian judokas dominated the recently concluded South Asian Cadet Judo Championship by winning 16 gold medals, including nine by girls.

In all, India won 17 medals in the competition which concluded in Nepal on July 31, and emerged as the champion side.

Hosts Nepal and Bangladesh were the two other teams which participated in the four-day event, organised by the International Judo Federation's Judo For Peace Commission.

Aravinda Ghosh, Ravinder Kaur, Anupam Pal, M  Yallappa Jadhav, Mohan M. Ghadi, Vanlalpeki, Y. Herojit Singh, Shumyla A. Mansoori, Sanjeev Kumar, Divyani Singh, Gaurav Awasthi, Aishwarya Kukreti, Rakul Sherawat, Haldhar Jaiswal, Pooja L Gawade and Krishna Devi won gold in their respective categories.

M. Anand Singh was the bronze medal winner.
