New Delhi:The Congress committee in Chhattisgarh has called for a state- wide Bandh to protest against the anti-naxal operations in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh in which 16 Naxals were killed.

The Congress has said it has no differences with the Central government and the BJP state government on the issue.

Congress committee report has been rejected by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh. The report given by the congress committee has named seven innocent children who were killed in Bijapur anti-Naxal operation.

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has given a clean chit to CRPF who were involved in the operation.

"If any young boy or girl or lady not involved in Maoist has been killed, then I am deeply sorry, but that is the matter which can be established after the enquiry has been done," said the Union Home Minister. He was forced to regret on the question being raised of human shields being used in the Bijapur encounter.
