Chandigarh: Two telecommunication towers of different companies were sealed in Dhogra Ahir village in Narnaul district on Sunday as the firms had not deposited the prescribed fee for setting up tower in rural areas.
    
It is mandatory for companies to pay a lump sum fee of Rs one lakh to set up towers in rural areas, a spokesman of the district administration said.
    
Out of it, Rs 75,000 is forwarded to the account of the Gram Panchayat, he said.
    
The companies also have to pay Rs 10,000 per year, he said, adding, towers have been sealed earlier also for violation of the rules.
