According to sources, SIMI operative Haider Ali alias ‘Black Beauty’ is among those held by the NIA team in Ranchi. Other suspects arrested by the NIA in a joint effort with Ranchi police are Numan, Taufeeq and Muzibullah.

The NIA, which was handed over the case, has been carrying out investigations into the case and it had nabbed Yasin Bhatkal, who had been named the main culprits behind the incident, with the help Intelligence Bureau.

The police said Black Beauty and Alam, working for the Ranchi module of the Indian Mujahideen, were also part of a group running an arms and ammunition factory at Meer Vihar in Delhi.

The NIA has been probing the eight blasts that went off during Modi’s rally in Patna on October 27 last year. Eight persons were killed and hundreds injured in the blasts at the Gandhi Maidan.

2013 Patna blasts: Four suspects held in Ranchi

 

 

New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, the National Investigative Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested four suspects including alleged mastermind of the serial blasts in Patna's Gandhi Maidan where Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi addressed an election rally last year.
