The vaccine was administered to the children on Sunday at the booths specially set up for the purpose.
Fifty-four percent of the targeted children have been covered on the first day of the three-day campaign, a Haryana Health Department spokesman said in Chandigarh on Monday.
He said that about 40 lakh children would be covered during this campaign in the state.
The drive will continue for another two days when the teams would go from door-to-door to administer vaccine to children who could not come to the booths on Sunday.
