Chandigarh: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government on Thursday transferred 27 senior police officers in the state with immediate effect.

The government ordered the transfers and postings of 27 senior police officers in order to fill up vacancies and on administrative grounds, an official spokesman said here.

R P Singh IPS, ADGP/Traffic has been transferred as MD, Punjab Police Housing Corporation (PPHC), Arpit Shukla IGP/Provisioning to IGP/Hqrs, S S Chauhan, IGP/Hqrs to IGP/Traffic, Kuldip Singh, IGP/Crime to IGP/Modernisation and A S Rai IPS IGP/Modernisation to IGP/Provisioning.

Besides, Shashi Prabha Dwivedi, IGP/Training has been transferred to IGP/Crime, R P S Brar, IGP/Traffic to IGP/Community Policing (CP) & Training, L K Yadav, DIG/PR to DIG/CM security and Arun Pal Singh, DIG/CM Security to DIG/Admn.
