New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday has decided to hear the govt’s plea for extension of time period for 2G Spectrum allotment on August 24.

A division bench of the Apex Court on Tuesday has fixed the matter for August 24, after hearing from the govt for an early hearing.

Earlier, the SC has directed the Department of Telecom (DoT) to complete the auction before August 31. But the govt was unclear as to what should be the base price for auction. Seeking an extension of August 31 deadline the government has today approached the apex court, which has accepted its plea.
