Ranchi: While political instability and governance deficit over the last few years have been the major contributors in slow pace of growth of Jharkhand, delay in Centre’s nod for some of the proposed development projects in the state are adding up to the problem.

The Jharkhand government has prepared a list of 32 projects that are waiting for Centre’s approval.

The state administration has prepared the list soon after the President House Secretariat and Planning Commission asked the state to submit a comprehensive report on projects pending for Central Government’s approval.

In the list, 32 developmental projects are awaiting green signal from different union ministries including Urban Development Ministry, Rural Development Ministry, Water Resources Ministry, Ministry of Transportation and Roads Construction and Department of Animal Husbandry and Pisciculture.

Many insurgency-hit districts in the state are facing serious challenges due to lack of proper connectivity here. Among the 32 development projects, construction of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna(PMGSY) are also waiting for Centre’s approve.
