Patna: The Bihar government has promoted four senior IPS officers in the Additional Director General of Police (ADG) rank in a reshuffle in the police top brass involving 10 IPS officials, according to an official notification on Saturday.
Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA) has been posted as DG-cum-Additional Civil Defence Commissioner, while ADG (Modernization) K S Dwivedi has been made ADG (Wireless and Technical Services), the notification said.
Inspector General of Police (IG), Darbhanga Zone, Rakesh Kumar Mishra has been promoted as ADG (Modernization), while Chief Executive Officer, Bihar Open School Education and Examination Board (BOSEEB), Bihar, Dinesh Singh Bisht has been promoted as the ADG and he will serve as the ADG-cum-CEO of the BOSEEB following upgradation of his post.
The IG (Budget and Provision) Sunil Kumar has been promoted as ADG with prospective effect of November 1, 2012, and made the ADG-cum-Special Executive Officer (SEO), Bihar State Police Building Construction Corporation (BSPBCC), while IG Muzaffarpur Zone Gupteshwar Pandey has been promoted as the ADG and his present posting ungraded with additional charge of the ADG, BSSA.
The Bhagalpur Zone IG Amrendra Kumar Ambedkar has been transferred to the Bihar Armed Police (BAP) at Patna in the same capacity, while the IG (Headquarters) Jitendra Singh Gangwar has been transferred in the same capacity in Darbhanga Zone.
The Kishanganj SP Ranjit Kumar Mishra has been transferred to Darbhanga in the same capacity and he will swap posting with Saurabh Kumar.
