The quake hit Mudanjiang city of northeast China's Heilongjiang province at 12.22 am (local time) today.

The epicentre was monitored at 44.81 degrees north latitude and 129.95 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 580 km, according to the CENC.

No casualties were reported so far, according to media sources.

Three trains were ordered to stop in safe areas after the quake, the Harbin Railway Bureau said.
