Jind: Seven persons were killed and fifteen others injured when three vehicles - a jeep, a mini truck and a multi-purpose vehicle - collided near Balarkha village on the Narwana-Patiala road in Jind district of Haryana on Wednesday.
Police said the members of a marriage party travelling in the jeep were returning to Jind after attending a wedding at Bathinda in Punjab when the mishap occured.
The victims, who died on the spot, have been identified as Vikas, Mukesh, Bhagwat Bubu Lal and Deepak - all residents of Jind city - and Satnam and Gurtej of Punjab travelling in the multi-purpose vehicle, police said.
Deceased Deepak was driving the jeep, police said, adding, all the injured were admitted to the general hospital at Narwana. The police has registered a case.
