Ranchi: The Jharkhand police on Tuesday arrested eight people in connection with gang-rape of four minor tribal girls in Pakur District of the state. Police suspect that the men belong to neighbouring villages.

Earlier, 10 to 15 armed men on Sunday barged into a girls' hostel at Lawada village in Pakur district. The abductors took away four girls and raped them.

The girls were reportedly dropped back to the hostel after two hours. They later revealed that they suspected all the accused to be over 18 years old. The girls, aged between 12 to 14 years, belong to the Paharia tribe.
