Patna: Nine people were killed and 26 others injured in two mishaps in Bihar's Madhubani and Bhojpur districts on Monday.

Four persons were killed in a collision between a SUV (sport utility vehicle) and a car near Sudollapur in Madhubani district, a police officer said.

The four occupants of the SUV, were identified as Archana Devi (33) and her daughter Anjali Kumari (11), Bulan Jha (41) and Sajjan Jha (32), SHO R Prasad said.

Bhulan Jha's son Guddu Kumar was undergoing treatment at the DMCH. In another mishap,five persons were killed and 26 others
injured when the bus they travelling overturned on NH-30 near
Asni village in Bhojpur district, police sources said.

The mishap took place when the driver tried to avoid running over cattle and in the process lost control, the sources said.

The bus was going from Ara to Maliabagh in the district. The five were identified as Chhotu Singh (18), Bhanwar (20), Sukesh Chaudhary (20), Umesh Singh (15) and one unidentified person. Twenty-six persons suffered injury in the incident.
