Sheikhpura: Gone are the days when teachers had to plead before the village headman for their salary as the honorarium for the teacher of Panchayat and Blocks will now be paid through mobile money transfer.

While making this announcement during the second day of the Sewa Yatra here on Thursday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, “In order to provide the salary on a prompt basis, we have decided to initiate payment through mobile money transfer.”

The initiative of providing salary to the ASHA workers under the pilot project through mobile money transfer has been successful, he said.

The CM announced that the Mamata workers will also be paid the incentive through mobile money transfer and also advocated to increase the salary for the Bal Didis.

How will it work?

Money transfer by SMS is a value added service that allows you to send and receive money, and transfer money amongst your own accounts. Typically consumers sign up for the service through the application provider, download the application, and register a bank account. To transfer money, consumers follow the instructions provided by the application provider.
