New Delhi: A new revelation regarding death of Delhi Police Constable Subhash Chand Tomar has once again twisted the story with an eyewitness in his statement saying Tomar was brutally beaten up by the protesters before he collapsed.
Eyewitness Salim, the resident of Bulandshahr in Pradesh, claimed that the protesters beat up the constable before he collapsed.
Salim told he was present at the site where the protesters were beating up the constable. Recalling the incident, Salim said that the constable was hit with stone following which he collapsed. Later, three youths beat him up with wooden sticks and thrashed him with their boots.
According to the eyewitness, the video footage shown by the news channel was shot much later.
It is to be noted that two other eyewitnesses, Yogendra and Paoline, have said that they were the eyewitness to Tomar’s collapse during the protest.There were no injury marks on his body said them.
The Medical Superintendent of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital expressed the similar view. He said that the constable had no major injuries when he was brought to the hospital in unconscious condition.
However, the post mortem report said the 47-year-old constable died from cardiac arrest caused by injuries he suffered on his chest and neck.
