Mumbai:  "I am so sorry that I am a part of this society and culture", and "I am so sorry that I am a man", Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan said Saturday following the death of a 23-year-old trainee physiotherapist who was brutally gang-raped and tortured in the national capital.

"We couldn't save you but what a big voice you have, you brave little girl. That voice is telling us that rape is not an aberration, not a mistake, "Shah Rukh tweeted. "Rape embodies sexuality as our culture and society has defined it. I am so sorry that I am a part of this society and culture.

"I am so sorry that I am a man. I promise I will fight with your voice. I will respect women so that I gain my daughter's respect," added the 47-year-old, father to two children - son Aryan, 15, and daughter Suhana, 12.

The victim, who was gang-raped by six men in a moving bus Dec 16, was flown to Singapore for treatment Thursday and breathed her last early Saturday morning.

Man and woman is creation of God and equally important part of society. A case which agitated India doesn't means that every man is wrong. It is time to provide equality for both gender and generate feelings so that one will respect other. You don;t have such right. Similar the comments of Abhishek Bacchan who says that I don't want my daughter live in India. From where you get position from India and you speak in this manner. Sexual harassment is going in iNDIA only. Other culture gave other name to the extrapolation does't mean other countries are free from that. Rather our society and culture is more sensitive towards women and give more respect to them. The need is to associate different communities with our culture. We don't figure women in public where is what happens in Miss world and Miss universe titles? But all these become official and part of Economy. When some one says to proper dressing for women it hits so called media and ad world which earn by exposing women. Shahrukh & Abhishek both representing same class. Will the world of Media & Ad will come forward and says that we will not expose Miss gender? They never come as they converted it into business where as our culture took them as part of life of social structure. If you says something it should be part of your life not double standard. You say something but present something else exposing your self.
