New Delhi: Nursery admission has become a nightmare for parents in Delhi. The reason is school has adopted point system, under which the schools will allocate points to the applicants on different parameters that play vital role during the enrollment of little ones every year.

Those parents who do not have a good school closeby will land in the soup. Out of 100, 20 to 40 points will be allocated on the basis of distance, which will play a significant role in the nursery admission.

Delhi Public School Association President RC Jain said, “Distance is the main basis for the admission. We’ll give first preference to the one who lives close to our school.”

Principal of Mount Abu Public School, Jyoti Arora, said, “Every year during admissions we ask for residential proofs, electricity, water bills and other official documents from the parents to ascertain distance of child’s home.
