Shastri said he's hoping the Assembly will pass the resolution and it will force Parliament to consider the issue.

Earlier, AAP Government convened the two-day emergency Assembly Session during which Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia moved a resolution against  the notification of Ministry of Home Affairs. The resolution was moved on the first day of two-day  emergency session convened by AAP government.

The session was convened amid Delhi High Court judgment wherein the court noted that Lieutenant Governor is bound to act upon the aid and advice of the Council of Ministers who are directly elected by the citizens of Delhi and the Centre's "executive fiat" siding with him is "suspect".

''MHA notification disrespects people's mandate given to the AAP government. It appears the Centre is afraid of the action Delhi government is taking against corrupt officials,'' Sisodia said while moving the motion.
