An image in which the 32-year old Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA was seen pelting stones outside the BJP office has cropped up on social networking sites.

When contacted by JagranPost, Singh said, “We went there to protest in a peaceful manner but we were provoked by the BJP workers. We never intended to take the violent route. I would like to apologise if any of my actions has caused embarrassment.”

“No action has been taken against the BJP workers, who had provoked the peaceful AAP supporters. Many of my party workers are still in hospital and even I suffered several injuries on my body,” he added.

The BJP and AAP workers indulged in a violent street-fight in Delhi last evening over Arvind Kejriwal’s detention in Gujarat.

According to police sources, an FIR was lodged at Parliament Street Police Station on Wednesday night against AAP protesters, including leaders Ashutosh and Shazia Ilmi.
Kejriwal, who is on a four-day trip to Gujarat, has apologized for his party workers' and urged them to stick to non-violence.
