New Delhi: In another setback to Nupur Talwar, the Supreme Court on Friday refused to intervene in the bail plea filed by her challenging the Sessions Court order in the 2008 Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case.

While the Apex Court refused to grant bail as of now, it will continue hearing in the review petition moved by her challenging the trial in the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case.

The dentist couple has moved a review petition in the Apex Court after it refused to quash trial proceedings against them.

SETBACK FOR NUPUR

Nupur has moved the Apex Court seeking bail after setbacks from the Sessions Court in Ghaziabad and the special CBI court recently.

TRIAL ON MAY 9

Meanwhile, the trial in the 2008 sensational murder case of teenage Aarushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj could not be initiated in the CBI court on Thursday after her lawyers cited lack of complete documents.

The case was to be referred to the Sessions Court from the magistrate's court after Nupur Talwar's bail was rejected on Wednesday.

But her lawyers said they were not furnished the complete set of documents by the Sessions Court and requested that another date be fixed. The court then fixed May 9 for the next hearing.

NUPUR SURRENDERS

Following a Supreme Court's directive, the dentist had surrendered in the special CBI court in Ghaziabad on Monday. Her bail plea was rejected by the special court after which she was taken into custody and later sent to the Dasna jail.

HONOUR THE LOWER COURT

Last week, while hearing the review petition and appeal of Nupur seeking a stay on the execution of the non-bailable arrest warrant (NBW) issued by the trial court against her, the Supreme Court has asked her to honour the lower court order and surrender before it.

The CBI has opposed the review petition saying that the Talwars are misusing the process of law. The CBI said that by evading the trial court proceedings, the Talwars were producing evidence that should be examined by the trial court.

BRUTALLY MURDERED

Dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar's only daughter 14-year-old Aarushi was found dead at the family's Noida residence on the night intervening May 15 and 16, 2008. The next day, the body of their servant Hemraj was also found on the terrace of the house.
