Kolkata: The revelation made by the Indian Mujahideen militants arrested from various cities in context to their close links in Kolkata has set the alarm bells ringing amongst the Kolkata Police Special Task Force (STF) officials.

According to the STF officials, Mohammad Sadiq and Yasin Bhatkal alias Imran had stayed at a hotel in Bowbazar area in Central Kolkata in April last year while Zafar resided in Mutiyabrij area.

The STF officials had suspected their involvement in the fake currency racket and were keeping an eye on them but they managed to flee.

Though the STF nabbed Mohammad Sadiq and Zafar, prime accused in three terrorist activities, Yasin Bhatkal is still absconding.

The Kolkata police has started the search operation for Bhatkal.
