Indore: The Madhya Pradesh Police on Tuesday arrested two more accused in connection with the gang rape of two girls on Saturday at Betama city in Indore.
The arrest of all the accused named in the FIR has been completed.
Police on Tuesday arrested Ashu Wagh (son of lawyer Anirudha Wagh), and Golu Wagh.
The two girls were allegedly gang raped by a group of 16 individuals including a son of a BJP MLC in the region. The victims, in their FIR, had also alleged that an MMS has been shot by the accused.
However, Police is still in search for three unidentified accused, involved in the heinous crime.
Eighteen accused have so far been arrested in this case in which 15 were named and three are yet to be identified.
Accusing police officials of negligence, the Congress MLC Satyanarayan Patel and BJP district President Ravi Walia said, “The area Police official was immediately informed after the incident but they didn’t show any alertness”.
