Indore: The main accused in the murder case of IPS officer Narendra Kumar Singh and suspected member of mining mafia Manoj Gurjar on Friday moved a bail plea in the District and Session Court here.

The bail plea was made to the session and district court of judge S S S Sisodia who moved it to the additional district judge Anupam Shrivastav, the court sources said.

Since ADJ was on leave on Friday, the bail plea would come up for hearing on June 25, they said.

Gurjar allegedly mowed down 32 year-old Singh, who was posted as sub-divisional officer of police at Barmore town in Morena district on March 8 when he tried to intercept a tractor-trolley laden with illegally mined stones.

The CBI has filed a 12-page chargesheet against Gurjar and charged him under section 304 (culpable homicide) and 353 (obstructing government work) of IPC and motor vehicle act.
