Gurgaon:  Ace Indian batsmen tied knot with Gurgaon girl Natasha Jain on Friday in Gurgaon. The wedding ceremony held at the Westend Farms located on the Delhi-Gurgaon road concluded in a peaceful and a simple manner.

The occasion was graced by the presence of prominent personalities of the cricket and Bollywood.

Gambhir wearing a prince suit maintained the poise he carries on the field, while Natasha cladding in a pink bridal wear accepted everyone’s greetings with her sparkling smile. For a short span the couple posed for picture and left with no comments to the media.

Guests started pouring in as early as four in the afternoon. The wedding nuptials started at six and lasted till nine in the night. Thereafter, the couple presented themselves before media and left for dinner.

Splendid fireworks caught everyone’s attention and lighten the atmosphere. Friends and family danced to the peppy numbers on the floor. Daughter of a businessman Ravinder Jain, Natasha Jain is a resident of Civil Lines, Gurgaon. Gambhir and Natasha were introduced to each other last year by their respective families.

The cricket stars who attended the wedding were Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Munaf Patel and Ishant Sharma. Prominent Bollywood stars also blessed the couple. Shah Rukh Khan, who also co-owns IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders of which Gambhir is the captain graced the occasion with his presence.

Pre- wedding ceremonies started two days back including, Mehndi and Sangeet at his residence in west Delhi located Rajinder Nagar. The Sangeet ceremony which started late Thursday night lasted till Friday morning. Gambhir too actively participated in the celebrations for the big day of his life. Friends and folks participated whole-heartedly in the celebration.

Entire arrangements were handled by Gambhir’s uncle and other folks and her sister Ekta Gambhir was often seen greeting the guests. Pre-wedding arrangements and other rituals were evidently based on the Punjabi tradition.

29- year-old Gambhir sported mojri (footwear) of famous Pappu Mojri of Jodhpur. The owner himself came to his residence carrying best twenty pairs for the groom to select, of which Gautam liked two and paid eleven thousand for the same.

The batsman, who did well in the five one-dayers against England by hitting 213 runs including two half centuries, was recovering from the blurred vision that he sustained after falling awkwardly while fielding during the Test series against England in August.
