A case has been registered against Khan under various sections of IT Act with Seemapuri police station of the national capital. In the complaint, Dr Bheemrao Ambedkar Vichaar Manch said that the Khan made casteist remarks against an actor in recently-released ‘Raanjhanaa’ movie.

The nine-minute video was uploaded on YouTube on July 29 in which Khan allegedly compared movie actor with a particular caste and also made defamatory remarks.

The complainant also alleged that the local police did not address the complaint seriously. Thereby, they were forced to send an e-mail regarding the issue to the newly-appointed Police Commissioner BS Bassi.

The Commissioner later directed the cops to take necessary action in the case. The police also hinted that Khan could be arrested under these charges.

Earlier, the film fraternity also approached Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), demanding a complete ban against actor-producer Kamaal Rashid Khan due to his repeated misconduct and defamatory remarks against prominent Bollywood actor.
