"Now a days there are characters for which one has to look (in a) certain way. For 'Udta Punjab' I had to lose weight and for 'Shaandaar' I had to have that bikini look... I had to look desirable as a lady. It is boring if you (actors) keep looking same way in all your (their) films," the 22-year-old actress said.
"We as actors need to create new look and try and be different for every character that we play portray. We hope to achieve a fit look," the 'Student of the Year' star said.
In her upcoming film 'Shaandaar', filmed by Vikas Bahl, Alia will be donning a bikini on screen for the first time. While in 'Udta Punjab', Alia will be sharing the screen with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.
The 'Highway' actress will be seen soon opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Johar's upcoming home production film.
