New Delhi: The debate over the Prime Minister’s candidature refuses to die down within the BJP camp. While the RSS and Nitin Gadkari made claim that the party would not disclose the name of prime ministerial candidate before the Lok Sabha elections, senior leader LK Advani stands different from them.

Advani has cleared that whether it is the Assembly elections or Lok Sabha ones, a decisive leadership is required to instill confidence among the masses. “People would obviously want to know that who they are voting for,” he said.

Advani in an exclusive talk with Dainik Jagran spoke extensively about his Jan Chetana Yatra against corruption. Keeping the debate over the PM’s post alive, he hinted about his bid in the race and said that the ultimate decision would be taken by the party’s parliamentary board.

Leaving no chance, he even criticized Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his comment on the review of the RTI Act. Making the intentions clear he said, “Our party would surely oppose such step.”
