The situation is such that even the auto, cement, cloths and food processing industries, which usually stay away from political movement, have started coming up with election related advertisements.

Even giants like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Cements, Berger Paints and Dominos Pizzas are along those which have become a part of this political environment of late.
In order to improve the branding of its popular vehicle Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki has come up with a poll-related ad and has released a number of campaigns based on the theme of ‘Vote Smart’.

A Maruti Suzuki official said that today, almost everyone is talking about elections and political issues and as a part of the strategy; it was decided to push a particular brand along with the current trend and the company expects that Wagon R would benefit from it.

Gone are the days when only a few companies like Tata Tea used to show interest in elections. Today, almost every big company is coming up with poll-related ads.

According to a well-known ad personality, the corporate world dealing with election ad has witnessed a manifold growth.

The garment manufacturing industries are competing with each other over who comes up with the most ‘effective’ poll-centric advertisement.

After Rupa Frontline and Dollar Industries, another undergarment manufacturing company TT Garments is also dealing with election-related advertisements.
Besides, companies like Cadbury and Sunfeast have also jumped on to this election-centric ad bandwagon.
