London: Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler has came under fire over the weekend for his rendition of the US national anthem 'The Star Spangled Banner'.
The 63-year-old singer has performed the rendition at an American Football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriotd, reported a website.
However, the current 'American Idol' judge came under fire on various websites, with a struggle to hit the high note being cited as one of the most damning aspects of an anthem.
Popular sports blog, Deadspin questioned "Steven Tyler's 'Star-Spangled Banner' was terrible, but was it the worst ever?".
While Espn's commentator Skip Bayless commented, "How could Patriots be inspired by that awful anthem sung by Steven Tyler? At least give him some screaming guitars to camouflage voice."
