Greater Noida: After creating history by becoming the venue for the grandiose of Formula One race, Greater Noida will soon add another feather in its cap by witnessing the wonders of cricket, hockey and other sport, as a multipurpose swanky stadium, next to the Buddh International Circuit, is being built where atmosphere would be reverberating with the swashbuckling performances of sports stars like Sachin Tendulkar and Dhoni.

The phase one of the stadium, which could accommodate 100,000 spectators, is likely to be finished by December this year, while it is expected to get ready completely by 2013.

According to JP Sports International, the first match that would be played here would be an IPL match. JP Sports Complex has been allotted a thousand hectares of land for the construction of stadium.

Out of the thousand hectares, 250 acres have been earmarked for the Formula One track which has a seating capacity of fifteen million viewers.

Nearby the racing track, an international stadium of multi utilities is being constructed in 250 acres under the guidance of the International Cricket Control (ICC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Underground parking is also being made inside the stadium. Media and corporate box, medical facilities, food courts and business establishments are among the other highlights of the stadium.
