Speaking to a leading daily Shah Rukh Khan said the censor board is a team comprising good thinking people and they have the final say before the film releases. The board has power to judge whether the content of the film is negative or not, he added.

SRK also said Bollywood films undergo a strong censorship and once it is done, the film is officially passed. "Yes, there will always be people who have issues but they shouldn't take it into the system where the whole idea of censorship stretches to the extent of being banal," he added.

Earlier Salman Khan had taken to Twitter to praise Rajkumar Hirani directorial venture and tweeted, “is PK not an amazzziiiiing film?”

Despite controversies, 'PK' is still going strong and it has box-office collection of Rs 320.48 crore. The  film has faced the ire of right wing organisations which said the movie disrespects Hindu religion. However, the controversies made no impact on its box-office success.

Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, PK also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Duitt in pivotal roles.
