Mumbai: Ailing actress Manisha Koirala, who is going to US for her treatment, has asked her friends and relatives to pray for her speedy recovery. Amid speculations of Manisha suffering from ovarian cancer, sources say that the actress, in her SMSs to all her near and dear ones, has informed them about her condition, asking them to pray for her recovery.

While talking to Dainik Jagran, Manisha’s childhood friend Salma expressed her sadness and prayed for her speedy recovery.

“I got an SMS from her (Manisha) while she was in hospital. I am extremely disheartened to hear about her health,” Salma told Dainik Jagran.

Manisha to go to US for treatment

Manisha will leave for the US shortly for further tests and treatment, a medical source said.

The 42-year-old, who was discharged from Jaslok Hospital where she was admitted for three days, will go with her family to the US. No further details are known.

"Given her condition, she is fine and we are hopeful she will come out of it," the source said, while refusing to give details citing patient-privacy privileges.

Manisha was taken to the hospital on November 28 after she reportedly fell unconscious.

The actress hails from an influential family in Nepal. She made her debut with "Saudagar" in 1991 and recently made a comeback with Ram Gopal Varma's "Bhoot Returns".
