MAT is conducted by AIMA four times in a year: February, May, September and December and is accessible in cardboard based analysis and computer based analysis format.

It is used throughout the nation for admission to MBA and management courses in over 600 institutes, including a few international institutes.

The MAT exam is an objective type exam with a total of 200 multiple choice questions divided across 5 categories: Language Comprehension (40 questions), Mathematical Skills (40 questions), Data Analysis and Sufficiency (40 questions), Intelligence and Critical Reasoning (40 questions) and Indian and Global Environment (40 questions).

Eligibility to attempt the MAT examination is Bachelors Degree in any field/subject (final year students are also eligible).
