Bhopal: With the commencement of the Air-Taxi service, Madhya Pradesh would be the first state in the country to start such a service to fillip the tourism sector.

Soon, the four main cities of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior would be air connected. For the first time Air-Taxi service is being initiated in the state. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan would inaugurate the Air-Taxi service on September 7.

In the first phase, Air-Taxi service would be started on routes of Bhopal-Indore, Bhopal-Gwalior, Bhopal-Jabalpur, Indore-Gwalior and Indore-Jabalpur. The service would be available in the morning and evening hours.

In the second phase of its expansion, the services would be provided to fly from Jabalpur-Gwalior on a daily basis and also connect few of the tourist spots including Satna, Khajuraho, Pachmarhi, Ballabgarh and Kanha.

After the commencement of this service, the tourists can conveniently enjoy the sight-seeing of various tourist places near Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur. Going to national park near Jabalpur, Kanha Kisli National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park can also be given preference.

Similarly, reaching pilgrim locations like Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain) and Omkareshwar would be made easy.

With the purpose of providing air connection between various cities, the state Tourism Development Corporation has contacted the Ventura Air Connect Private Limited. As per the deal, a nine-seater aircraft would be made available and soon service of another nine-seater aircraft would be provided for the convenience of the tourists.

The distance between the cities like Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur comes as a hindrance in coordination with the functioning of major departments of the state. Therefore, the Air-Taxi service would also come as a major respite to the government officials and the departments.
