She said that all the information regarding the Panama Papers leak, in which her name figures have been submitted to the government.

''A statement has been issued already and that stands true. A statement has been given individually as well as by the members of the family to the media," Aishwarya told reporters during an event when asked about the Panama Papers leak.

Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan had issued a statement saying that his name was 'misused' and he was not aware of any of the companies mentioned in the report.

The names of Aishwarya Rai, her parents and brother also figured in the leaked documents as being directors in a firm in the British Virgin Islands.

Her media adviser Archana Sadanand, also earlier raised questions about the International Consortium of Investigating Journalists and said all the information the paper had was totally untrue and false.
