New Delhi: The AIYF and AISF activists on Wednesday held demonstration against UPA’s decision to hike diesel price and to allow FDI in multi-retail.

Addressing the demonstration SK Rana, secretary of AIYF Delhi State Council said, “The government increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per litre. Due to anti poor – anti people economic policy of government, people are suffering from high price rise of essential commodity. The increase in diesel price and LPG price has affected people adversely.

AISF secretary Amit Kumar addressed the demonstration. Mr Ginu Zacharia Oommen national vice- president of AIYF also addressed the Dharna.  He condemned the UPA government for increasing prices of diesel, LPG and petroleum product on every month by giving an excuse that they are hiked by the petroleum companies.  This hike is undemocratic and one sided.  It will increase price rise of every commodity added the left leader.

All India Youth Federation Delhi State assistant secretary Mr Anand Sharma demanded the government to stop the move to de-regularize diesel price, immediate withdrawal of price hike of diesel and withdrawal of limit of six LPG cylinders in a year immediately.

“Rollback the FDI in MMTC, NALCO, Hindustan Copper, Oil India and Broadcasting and cable network. Otherwise our organization will launch nation-wide agitations against UPA government,” said the AIYF leader.
