Amritsar: The Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal, accused former Chief Minister of the state Captain Amarinder Singh and his son Ranindra Singh Tikku of allegedly stashing Rs 400 crore black money in Swiss bank and said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be apprised in this regard.

Trying to bring the matter into Central government’s notice, a group of MPs from both the Akali Dal and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) will meet Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee. The MPs of the ruling state government has also resolved to raise the issue in the winter session of the Assembly.

In a brief interaction with media persons, Badal accused Captain Amarinder Singh of swindling Rs 2000 crore in the construction of Ludhiana City Centre. He said, “We will recover the black money stashed by Amrinder Singh in Swiss banks and will use it for laying water and sewage pipelines in the state. The Punjab Government will soon unearth the matter.”
