Department of Parliamentary affairs has ordered the state officials that in the span of three months they have to revert back to the letters of every MLA and MP, so that they can be timely informed about the incumbent situation of their concerned matters. And if in case any letter is left unattended that too has to be informed.
In order to carry out the orders religiously, the government has laid down a seven-point format for the state officials.

The UP government from a long time was getting complaints that the state officials are not paying heed to the letters of MPs and members of the Legislature. This slackness of the officials is not only raising questions on their work but also affecting reputation of the government.

The state government has ordered the officials to file report quarterly and duly address to the recommendations, complaints and suggestions made by the leaders and submit the report by the 10th of every fourth month.

Samajwadi Party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav is also worried because of the behaviour of the Akhileshs’ government officials. The SP workers for a long time have received this complaint that because of incoherent behaviour of the state official’s the image of the party is being affected.

In their defence, officers of the state say if MPs and MLAs work with honesty and integrity, no mandarins would be able to discharge their duty with malafide intention under their nose.

Many SP ministers have raised this issue in the cabinet meeting, but they themselves are not willing to change their modus operandi, an official said.
