"I don't know when I will reach Lok Sabha. I have missed the opportunity this time," Yadav said in Lucknow.
He was talking to media at a function where BSP MP Surendra Nagar joined the ruling Samajwadi Party along with his supporters.
Taking potshots at the BJP, Yadav said its graph was coming down very fast as the polling dates were coming near.
"They started with Gujarat development model but they started following communal agenda," he said.
Asked whether SP would make an appeal to other parties to get united and contest against Narendra Modi in Varanasi, Yadav said his party was not making any such appeal as it has fielded its own candidate there.
"We are a secular party and except for two seats (Raebareli and Amethi), we have announced candidates on all seats," Yadav said.
