Jind: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday said his government will work for ensuring all round development of Jind district.
He said this at a public meeting at Uchana Kalan after inaugurating a newly constructed Tehsil Complex and girls’ hostel of a nursing college here, an official release said.
Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Uttrakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna and AICC General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member Birender Singh were also present.
Hooda also laid the foundation stone of Kasturba Gandhi Girls School at village Kheri Safa and nursing college at Uchana. The tehsil complex has been set up with a cost of Rs 4.25 crore and would be first such sub tehsil level building to have all offices under one roof in the state.
Hooda also announced the decision to set up Community Health Centre at Alewa and Primary Health Centre at Nagura and to expedite the setting up of 50-bedded hospital at Uchana. Launching a scathing attack on INLD chief Om Parkash Chautala who was representing Uchana Kalan, Hooda said people of Uchana had sent Chautala to the Vidhan Sabha but their leader never raised his voice for the benefit of people.
Azad appreciated the facilities available in the villages and towns of the state and expressed surprise that there was no 'kaccha' house in the villages of the state.
