New Delhi: Thousands of couples are all set to tie the nuptial knot on the auspicious date 11.11.11 which comes after 100 years. The craze, especially among youths, was seen after astrologers and pundits termed Friday as propitious day to get married.

Following this excitement, all wedding sites were booked two months ago and couples who found the relevance of 11.11.11 later on are now looking for wedding venues.

Delhi will witness thousand weddings on 11.11.11 due to which people are unable to find any pandit and venue for wedding. Caterers, bands, etc are already booked and beauty parlours are also eying this as a golden opportunity.

According to DDA spokesperson Nemodhar, people had booked halls for this date two months ago and we are still receiving calls for allocation of wedding halls.

Similarly, MCD’s Yogendra Maan said that all halls have already been booked.

There are around 646 MCD parks, 183 community centres and other farmhouses and banquet halls that can be used as venue for weddings.

Meanwhile, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Satyendra Garg said that the date is quite auspicious but no one will be allowed to put tents on road.
