The Constitution of India is the supreme law of India, which declares the nation as a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic country. The Constitution ensures the equality, justice, liberty and fraternity among the people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in order to spread the awareness about the living document of Indian Constitution, had announced to celebrate 26th November as Constitution Day of India. The Indian Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on this day in 1949.

BR Ambedkar, who is popularly known as the Father of the Indian Constitution, was the chief architect of our rights and freedoms. PM Narendra Modi declared to observe Constitution Day while laying the foundation stone of BR Ambedkar Memorial in Mumbai on his 146th birth anniversary year.
