Lucknow:The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Friday declined to set aside the state government's order, cancelling allotment of official residence to former UP cabinet secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh in Raj Bhawan Colony.
The court also directed the state government not to evict him from his official residence and asked him to file a reply by May 31 in this regard.
In his petition filed before the single bench of Justice SN Shukla, ex-Cabinet Secretary, Singh had pleaded that his official residence should not be vacated.

The court, however while granting partial relief permitted Singh to retain the official residence till May 31 following a humanitarian plea that his house is under repair and it may take about one month to finish it.
