New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday directed the Medical Council of India (MCI) to provide permission certificates to the students undertaking their five years MBBS degree from China.

While hearing the petition of medical students seeking grant for practicing in India on Chinese MBBS degree, Justice Hima Kohli ordered MCI to provide certificates to such students permitting them to practice in the country.

Notably, the Medical Council of India has introduced an examination system for the selection of students studying in China to practice in India in 2008.
